Oreo Balls & Water Balloons - July 24th, 2015

Praise the Lord.

I wanted to include this verse because we are so thankful to God for all the work He is doing in Ashley's life and all of our lives! I did not get to hear Ashley say I love you back this week BUT she did come give me a kiss on the lips 4 different times this week after I said it to her!!!! Ashley has a front upper tooth that is very loose and I can tell it was bothering her this week. However, that did not stop her from having fun with Team Ashley and in the kitchen!

Saturday

In sessions with Jeremy and me, Ashley said "up, more and water" and some different approximations. She also kicked the ball back and forth with Jeremy! Kicking a ball is a new milestone Ashley JUST reached so it is great to see!

At dinner she said "whaaaat?" 4 times when she saw I was getting out carrots for her to eat before her chicken nuggets. She said it like Dave Chappelle so we were laughing and saying it with her! :)

 

At night she said "waffles" and "no" in response to my question.

Sunday

 

At church, she was very interactive and making lots of sounds. She said "du du" for dum-dum lollipop, "I want" multiple times, and "no" when Haley asked if she wanted to go into kid worship room. It can get loud in the worship room and for some reason Ashley is really scared of the puppets used for the Bible story. Thankfully Haley stays with Ashley in the room and they get 1-on-1 time!

 

In session with Miranda, Ashley was very playful and loved being chased and tickled! She did really well with eye contact and it was so wonderful hearing them laughing upstairs so much! The Son-Rise teacher suggested we go all out on Disney characters she loves. We should dress up as character, have the songs and words to sing, pictures from movie, etc. So I made Rapunzel hair from discarded yellow fabric, clothes hanger and the only 4 clothes pins we had. I am not crafty so I did the best I could...Jeremy laughed at it but said great effort! Lol! We had stickers, brush, and bows to add to the hair. However, she didn't seem interested in it today when Miranda pulled it out 2 different times and Miranda even wore a purple dress for the session! That is why I did not want to spend too much money in case she did not like it or destroyed it within minutes! She could be interested in this in a few weeks so we will bring it back. We will try some other suggestions this next week and one will be Tinker Bell!

 

Ashley said "ba" for bath and "waffles" at night.

 

We also got to make Chocolate covered Oreo Balls tonight to give to our volunteers! Ashley enjoyed making it but it was difficult to keep her from trying to eat it! She loves chocolate just like her mommy! :) We had to first make the oreo & cream cheese mixture into balls. We let them freeze for 15 minutes and got a bath since Ashley still smelled like the pool. Then we melted chocolate chips and dipped oreo balls in the chocolate. They didn't come out looking too pretty but they still tasted really good! As you can see below, Ashley approved of the Oreo balls!

 

 

 

Monday

In the morning, I said to Noah "lets go tickle Ashley!". Ashley was watching us and started laughing before we even got to her. When we started tickling her, she said "Awesome!". She also said "ti" approximation for more tickles.

We also had a fun morning in the kitchen and I love having Ashley help me! She helped me make Breakfast Treat which is one casserole she will actually eat so we have it for dinner often. She enjoyed stirring the eggs and milk but I know her favorite was sneaking some of the croutons! She even poured the spices and milk into the bowl this time!

Then I needed to slice up cucumbers for a lunch salad so she helped me cut it up using our slicer. First, Larry the Cucumber from Veggie Tales had to dance with trumpet sound! By the end, she was doing it by herself! She is really starting to be interested in Cause & Effect activities!

 She said "juice" and "nana" for banana at lunch time. At speech & OT, she said "pop" for popcorn, "chip" 2 times requesting for pita chip, and "fix" when wanting swing fixed in OT room! She said "ba" for bath and "Awesome!" when pushed toaster down to cook waffles. In sessions with Wendy and me, she said "no"and "tee" and Wendy thinks it was for tree in Dora Book they were looking at. I wanted to highlight some pictures of Ashley with Wendy since Wendy was out last week!

Tuesday

In sessions today with Kellie, Kimberly and Becky, Ashley said "balloon", "bobby" for Bob Veggie Tale tomato, "bus" for her new bus toy, "nuh" for no, and "more please". In speech, she said "more", "chip" 2 times, and "eye" when putting eyes on Potato Head. Kellie was out last week too so Ashley was excited to see her again! They did part of their session outside with water balloons so that is when Ashely said balloon!

On the way driving to swim lessons, I was talking about what we were going to do there like reach with arms, blow bubbles with mouth, and dive for toys. She then said "bubbles" smiling at me. When Allison asked "do you want to dive for flowers?", Ashley looked them under water and said "want". Then she wanted the waterfall turned on and asked using "water" for waterfall while standing by it and looking.

Wednesday

In sessions today with Becky and me, Ashley said "no", "ugh" for up and "bus" 8 different times while playing with her new bus toy. The bus is big enough to fit lego people in but she only wanted to put some marbles in the bus. Outside the playroom, she also said "water" again multiple times, "bye-bye", "Awesome", and "ba" for bath.

I gave Ashley a bell pepper to try using Son-Rise no pressure techniques but I didn't have to make it fun. She made it fun with her own imagination and having the turtle each bell pepper first! It was so cute how she was walking around with turtle & bell pepper while saying gibberish to it (my guess is she was talking the turtle into trying it). Then she actually put in her mouth and tried it!!!! She didn't take full bite but I was proud of her for even putting in her mouth!

Thursday
In sessions, Ashley said "drink, water balloon, bus, baby". She got to enjoy water balloons again, a new doctor play kit, and polished rocks for sensory play. I also got to walk into Ashley having a "tea party" with Grammy downstairs with Tinker Bell napkins! Of course, Oscar wanted to join waiting for any scarps of food to drop!

Today she seemed to repeat the sound "peace" a lot which was a great p sound too! On the way to swim lessons she said "Awesome!". At swim lessons, she said "ree" for reach and said "water" to request waterfall on again!

Friday

Papa came over for a little Friday morning and Ashley was even kicking the ball back & forth with him! In speech, Ashley said "more chips" , "eat chips" and "izza" for pizza.

In session, she actually let me put Lego people in the bus and helped me fill all the seats. After a few seconds, she dumped them all out but it is a start to helping her flexibility! She said "no" and a lot of "b" sounds in session since we were playing with bus, balls, and baby doll. We got a doctor play kit and she liked listening to her heart and then checking her ears. She even checked my ears! :) She used to hate that at the doctors office until she realized it didn't hurt.

She helped me again in the kitchen cutting up cucumbers and making Oreo balls for a baby shower that night. While walking into kitchen to make the Oreo balls, she said "Awesome!". She also said "yeah" to daddy's question.

"I love you!!!!" - July 17th, 2015

We had another great week with Ashley and I wanted to highlight our team members interacting with Ashley! There is no better way to show that than by using pictures! Every week our team members are commenting about how much better her eye contact is than the previous week! We love how she is learning to make approximations and the value of speech to communicate! Sometimes she will say the same sound "wa wa" or "ma ma" BUT she is trying and understanding she needs words! :)

This week made me think about how Ashley was inside our house before we started Son-Rise Program and how different it is now. She is a very active girl and loves to be on the move. She used to get bored in the house after 20 minutes and want to leave for some adventure. She would rock a LOT and not allow us to get near her. Last summer was especially tough because there were only a few places I could go solo with both kids. However, Ashley likes staying at home now too which is sooooo great and she wants us to play with her! She will come grab my hand and lead me to sit next to her, climb over couch, run laps around stairs, or even wanting tickles! Noah likes to be next to her also and he will follow her around which is cute to watch! Most of the time she doesn't mind but sometimes she thinks its funny and will initiate chase by running from him! :)

We were able to schedule a conference all with a Son-Rise teacher on Monday morning which was so helpful! We were able to ask questions on challenges we are having and she also had some great game ideas for us to try! It was so encouraging to talk about our program and get support!

I am doing Hanen Parent training each week this summer which really compliments Son-Rise Program. I have gotten some great tips and advice on how to encourage more language and keep the conversation going with Ashley even if it is a game of tickles! I am so thankful we have a great team of Speech therapists and an OT therapist that use Hanen method too!

Saturday

After breakfast, Ashley was playing with Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head so Jeremy got out the Toy Story Figurines so she could group them together like she enjoys. She said "Awesome!".

We had a fun time at Austin Special Needs Pool Event and Ashley enjoyed the large slide with almost no line! If Ashley had to wait, then daddy danced with her at the top! I think she enjoyed showing off her swimming skills too! :)

She said "balls" in morning session and was eager to play with daddy. At lunch she said "oooh" for open, "ju ju" for juice, "chip", and then "weggie" when Ashley pulled out Veggie Tales DVD cover.

Sunday

Ashley was super happy and playful at church! Then we got to have water play outside and she gave the Disney Fairies a bath! In Session with Miranda, she had great eye contact and said "Yes" when asked if she wanted a snack! She also gave great approximation "ba-per" for cracker since we only give her a few at a time now. Otherwise she tries to stuff all in her mouth at one time and this also allows us to interact us with her more and encourage more language!

I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

The most amazing thing happened Sunday afternoon and one that I will NEVER forget! I was getting Ashley dressed at bathroom to go swimming with daddy. I said "I love you" (like I always say in same tone probably 10 times a day to her) and she said it back!!!!!!! It was mumbled a little so I was still comprehending what I heard. Then she walks to the sink and says it 4 more times smiling just like I had said it. Jeremy was in living room and heard it too! I looked at him and said "is she saying 'I love you'?" and he said "YES! Great job Ashley!"

I know she might not fully understand what it means but I have waited 6 YEARS to hear that!!! I started crying and she looked at me funny while trying to drag me to get on her sandles. I kept saying "happy tears, mommy is happy" and smiling. Then I accidently stepped on her toe and she got upset..... I start thinking she might never say this again by this reaction I am giving. :) Then when I was putting her towel in the bag I looked at her again and said "I love you" and she "I luv you"!!!!! Oh, God is soooo good and knew what I needed that day!

In the evening, I asked her if she wanted ice and she said "Yes!" to my question. She also said "waffles" really clearly with the f and l since before this it was baffles, wa, or wa wa!


Monday

She had great sessions with Tracy and Brogan. She said: "dum dum", "nak" for snack, "boun" for bounce, "dow" for down, "potty", "ball", "Yes" to answer a question and "No" to answer a question.  She also said "water" when looking at Barney book who was playing in water.

A few activities Ashley enjoyed with Tracy were swinging yo-yo's, Princess face masks, and playing with jewelry. (It really is not that bright in the playroom with frosted windows but that is how it shows on camera)


Tuesday

She said "baby" after I had called her baby that morning. Even though she is 6 years old, she will always be my baby!

In sessions with Kimberly, Becky, and me, she said "water" when looking at Veggie Tales book and Larry was pouring water from bucket. I sang Veggie Tales song to her again and then heard her whispering part it after. I couldn't hear enough to make the sounds out but she was smiling when I asked her if she was singing Veggie Tales.  She also said "bu" for book, also "Bo" for Bob Veggie Tales, "tick" for tickles.

A few activities Ashley enjoyed with Kimberly - had a tea party, examined teeth in mirror, and ran in place which Ashley thought was hilarious!


I brought in roll of streamers as prop to do different activities. She loved me holding it on my finger so it unrolled as she kept pulling. I tried to wrap it around Ashley but she did not like that. Then I wrapped myself up but she didn't seem to care. I asked if she could help me get out of it but she gave no response. Then I got tinkerbell and wrapped her up in streamers with me. She got engaged once I asked if she could help Tink unwrap from the mess...I guess Tink is higher on importance scale than helping mommy! haha!

At swim lessons, she requested "water" for Allison to turn on waterfall. She copied "reach" again and said "that". During lesson I was on other side of pool so she could swim to me. Allison was taking Ashley to the other side so she could swim and Ashley looked at me, reached out to me and said "mama"! It seemed she was actually saying it TO me and calling me by that name. I also told her "Great job Ashley! I love you!" at the end of the lesson and she said "I luv you" back! yay!!!

Wednesday

When I gave Ashley a small bowl of her favorite cereal at breakfast, she said "Awesome!". Then when Jeremy was leaving for work, she waved and said "bye-bye" without any prompting!

Ashley discovered the spray nozzle to the hose and loves the mist setting!

I wanted to include this little video where she says "water" so we can always watch it later!

In sessions with Tracy, Becky and me, Ashley said "my bite" for requesting a few crackers, "more, ball, drink, water, potty, up, no, and Strawberry" when looking at Strawberry Shortcake.  book.

ThursdayIn sessions with Brogan, Kimberly and Becky, Ashley said "water", "Awesome!", "bubbles", "ball, "nuh" for no, "uh" for up. She got to enjoy her favorite theme songs with Kimberly and Brogan got to introduce confetti eggs outside which Ashley loved! Brogan put hula hoop around Ashley while she was jumping and Ashley seemed to enjoy it. What I love in top right picture is that Ashley came over to Brogan and did it to her also! It was so cute seeing her play game back to Brogan!

Before leaving for swim lessons, she said "I luv u" back to me!!!! I am starting to see a theme with when she says it back to me....before going to the pool which is her favorite activity! :)

At swim lessons, she said "reach" and finally made milestone of blowing bubbles in the water with her mouth! She can also dive for items in the shallow end ALL by herself!

Friday

We got to play with confetti eggs again and she loves break them then shaking the confetti out! She said "water" and "bubbles" outside!

At speech therapy, she said "duck, quack quack, want water, no want help, backpack, more, mama and water".

In sessions with Haley and me, Ashley said "no", "Jazz" while looking at Jasmine Princess, "more", and "Awesome!" two times when getting Potato Heads out to play!

BYBC - July 10th, 2015

I am so thankful for the Son-Rise Program because it has really transformed my relationship with Ashley! Jeremy has even commented about this several times since we started this journey. It has helped me see her differently and given me a way to really connect with her by "joining" her! I love how she seeks me out to play and the eye contact she now gives me and others! She really has beautiful eyes and long eyelashes! She is so enjoyable to be around now and she does much better listening to directions because of the techniques we are using! Now... there are still times she will push my buttons outside of the Playroom to get my attention but what child does not do that? In a way, she is interacting with me and I have to keep getting better at how I respond. :)

This post is going to be concise since our week was very different with BYBC and short on team members.
 

Saturday

Jeremy and I had good sessions with Ashley and introduced Hungry Hippos game. She said "mine" and "water" 2 times in session. She was really constipated on Saturday so she wasn't her usual self but we got great eye contact while she was sitting on potty. :) She also got some pool time with daddy which makes her soooo happy!

Sunday

Ashley had a very vocal and active morning at church on Sunday! 
She said:
"ba room" for bath room,
"dum dum" when requesting one from the basket
"fla" while spinning a small flag.

In session she said "nu-uh" a few times to respond to Miranda's questions. They played a new game Marble Race Game using noodles cut in half which Ashley loved watching the marbles roll down! The internet has some great ideas! :)
 

Haley came to take Ashley out to a small jumping place so we could have a short break (I got a much needed nap)! We showed Ashley the picture of the jump place and then while she was walking to the door she said "Awesome!" with a big smile.

 

Monday

We hosted the first Special Needs HCBC Back Yard Bible Club at our house this week! It was a lot of fun and such a beautiful sight to see these teenagers loving on all our kids! We had 18 kids, 15 teenagers, 3 drivers, and 10 adults! Ashley was running around and having fun but after 30 minutes she wanted to come inside since it was a little overwhelming. I was thankful she knew what she needed after the first day and was able to decompress inside.

 

Marble Race Game was still a big hit and Ashley also likes to swing the noodles around. Wendy also played brought out bracelets and Ashley said "brace-it" 4 times! My mom Becky also came back to do a short session after her arm surgery and I am soooo glad she is back! :)

In OT they practiced putting buttons on an animal and Ashley said "button" 4 times, "swing", "please" and "bye bye" when we were leaving. At the elevator, I asked her if she wanted to push the button which she said "button" while pushing it!

Tuesday

I am so thankful Tracy was able to come at 930am the next 3 mornings to have sessions with Ashley while BYBC was going on. That seemed to be the time Ashley would need to come in doors even though BYBC went on for 45 more minutes. When she saw Tracy come inside, she would grab her hand and pull her upstairs! In Session, she said "drink, water, babies (holding fairies), uh (for up), duh (for down), marbles, ball, and tee (for teeth when they were looking at their teeth in mirror).

At lunch, she said "chuh" for chicken nuggets and then "ju-ju" for juice.

At speech, she said "chip" 8 different times for Pita Chips. Toward the end, she was saying "chip" independently to request! At the elevator, I asked her if she wanted to push the button and she said "button" again. At swim lessons, she copied Allison saying "reach" multiple times, "I want", and "water".

Ashley helped me make Mexican Casserole for dinner by dumping ingredients in so my mom snapped some pictures. She seemed confused at first about tearing up the corn tortillas into pieces but then started to catch on that we could destroy them. She then made me eat some but she did not want to try it herself. I was hoping she would try some casserole at dinner but she just wanted to feed me the Mexican Casserole (this has become a fun game for her at dinner to feed us but we hope eventually she will put it to her mouth too)!

Wednesday

It was "Wet Wednesday" at BYBC so Ashley and Noah both loved it! We had a kiddie pool, water table, buckets, water guns, water toys, wet sponges to throw and water balloons for kids to throw at teenagers! They even organized a relay game to squeeze water from sponges into cup. The teenagers just loved when the kids missed the cup and got it on their face! haha! :) The kids and teenagers ALL loved this day the most and no one left dry!

Ashley created a new game for Tracy and me today in sessions. She runs to the mirror and then goes backward laughing. We both "joined" her in this during our sessions and Ashley thought it was so funny and gave great eye contact during it! She seemed to really love watching herself in the mirror too!

During the sessions, she said "reach it (reaching toward shelf for book), u-uh (for up), more, water, marble 3 times, done, button (asking if wanted tickles on belly button) and baloo (for ballon)". When she was looking at the Veggies Tales ball, I started to sing the theme song to see if she was interested. She looked at my eyes so I kept going with the song. I had her attention the ENTIRE time of the song where she would look at my eyes, then my mouth, eyes, mouth, etc. like she was really trying to figure it out!

Thursday

This was last day of BYBC and Ashley seemed to be warming up to the teenagers. She even brought out her Disney Fairy toys with her but did not want anyone to touch them. She seemed to love the sidewalk chalk each day too and I had to capture her with Caterpillar toy using sidewalk chalk too!

In sessions  with Tracy, Becky and me, Ashley said "reach it, teeth, more, water, uh and duh, dow" (for up and down since she likes climbing window seal and stool). At swim lessons, she said "reach, no, and yes" (when answering Allison's questions)!!!!


Friday

In sessions, she said "mine, water, no, I want, done" (2 times after finished potty). At speech, she said "more, more ee" (for more ice), and lots of great approximations!

I decided to be brave and take both kids to Chic-fila for a Friday treat. A month ago, I tried this by myself and it was a disaster. We went at 1030am to beat the lunch crowd which was very helpful. Today was so fun with both kids and Ashley did such a great job listening and staying with me!

Ashley made her first pizza and followed instructions so well that she almost needed no assistance! She had a hard time waiting for it to cook 8 minutes in the oven and then it had to cool. However, she loved her creation and even wanted another one. She even said "piz" for pizza and "mel" for watermelon!!! Notice her Disney Fairies below?!?! They seem to go everywhere she does since she got them on her birthday last week! She keeps moving Tinker Bell's head like Tink is talking so we will see how long her head stays on.... :)

 

Happy 6th Birthday Ashley! - July 3rd, 2015

Ashley turned 6 years old on Wednesday which is hard to believe! We had another great week with her and she said NEW WORDS or NEW APPROXIMATIONS each day! Happy Tears! :)

It might get too hard to keep documenting all that we are hearing and seeing but that is a GREAT problem to have! I bolded her words she said below to make it easier to see! Sometimes she is copying what word was said which is a huge start because she did not do this before Son-Rise!


Here are some underwater pictures from swim lessons with Allison last week when she was swimming towards me. Allison got a great underwater camera and it captures Ashley's pure joy of being in the water. She was a special education teacher and her backyard pool is perfect place to have lessons with no distractions. Allison is amazing! She has taught Ashley to swim to the side if she falls in and how to swim from side to side! However, you can see we still need to work on Ashley keeping her mouth closed in the water to keep her from swallowing the pool! :)

Saturday

During morning Session with me, we had a tea party and I poured a little water into each cup. (She loves any kind of water play and pouring water). She got really interested when I poured water into each cup so she came to join me on the floor. She poured water back and forth between the cups and she said "water" multiple times. Then I asked for my cup and said "drink water" before I drank my cup. She then drank her water from the cup and she asked for more "water". I kept saying "drink water" and then she said "drink" two times after!!!!!

We also had a Son-Rise team lunch meeting to discuss program, challenges, how to encourage her verbal communication and brainstorm ideas for new games! We then celebrated Ashley's birthday with Tinker Bell cake and sang Happy Birthday! However, she was sooooo focused on the cake she seemed to tune everything else out! :)

In afternoon session with Haley, she said "don wan" for don't want and "water" again multiple times while washing hands after potty! Water is the word she says everyday now and multiple times in the correct context!

Grammy & Papa also got Ashley a new slide for her birthday so she really enjoyed that in the Playroom this week! There were so many games and activities our team got to make using the slide and encouraging words "up" and "down" each time.

Sunday

When we were buckling our kids into their car seats to leave for church, Jeremy said "Awesome!" to Noah about something he said. Ashley then said "Awe-thumb!" in same tone and excitement that Jeremy did. We both paused trying see if we heard correctly and then quickly praised her saying "Awesome Ashley!". She then said it 3 more times smiling and looking at us!  She also said "Bubble" twice when looking at Bubble Guppies book!

At church, she was very happy, active and made great eye contact. I just had to take a picture of the corner of her classroom. Why???? Because she is not sitting there rocking anymore like she did this last year!!!! Yay! :)

In afternoon, session with Miranda she was very affectionate, playful, and lots of eye contact. She said "nu-uh" for no when answering Miranda's questions. We made a visual schedule for Ashley so when she sees who is coming to play with her she grabs their hand immediately upon entering front door and pulls them upstairs!

During session with Jeremy, she said "dada" when Jeremy was tickling her. In the evening, she said "ba" for bath and then "mama" when I was drying her off. We are not 100% that mama and dada were directed at us but we still loved hearing those names! She also repeated "thank you" after I said it in the kitchen sarcastically to both kids for grabbing at all items on counter while I was making dinner. :)

Before bed, we were all sitting in the entry room around the train table. I started playing game with Noah asking him what all our names were and pointing. When he got to Ashley, he says her name like Ash-a-lee! and she smiles when he keeps repeating her name. When he stopped, she then said "Ash-a-lee!" just like he did and had the biggest smile like she was so proud of herself! Yay! She then said it 4 more times!

Monday

Ashley said "Awe-thumb!" again to me that morning after I said it. In session with Wendy, she said "necklace" two times while they were dropping necklaces down slide. They also did different games with a box and Ashley said "box" 4 different times. She is also starting to say "uh" for up and "Duh" for down slide.

In Session with Tracy, she said the words Water, drink, and Awe-thumb!. At speech therapy, she said "snack" very clearly and "I wan" several times.

Tuesday

In sessions with Kellie and Brogan, Ashley said "chase", "Ash-a-lee", "Awe-thumb!", "water" and "no" to Kellie's question. After going potty, she told me "done".

When we were walking out to Allison's pool for swim lessons, Ashley paused looking at pool and said "Awe-thumb!". Then during lessons, Ashley worked on jumping into the deep end and swimming to the side. She did great and we were praising her saying "Yay!!!" and then she responded "Way!!!".

Wednesday

In sessions and at lunch, she made some really great approximations for snack, melon, chips, chicken, blue, jump and wash!

Ashley turned 6 years old today and I sang Happy Birthday to her multiple times with tickles which made her smile! We got her new Tinker Bell figurines to replace her set she has had for last year which lasted longer than I thought since some have no feet, arms, wings, heads, or hair! When she opened her gift and then handed it to me, she said "Awe-thumb!"!!!! It was fun to see her face go from shock, realization, and finally joy with hand flapping over her gift!

Thursday

Ashley got to do part of her morning session in backyard with Kellie playing with water table, hose, dirt, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and the swing! She seems to love it outside and requests a lot for "water". It also fills a big sensory need Ashley.

She also said "no" 3 times in session in response to questions of which toys she wanted off the shelf.  She said "Wee!" and "Awe-thumb!" going down the slide in her playroom. We got some close approximations for basket, bowling ball, rub (washing hands). She also had fun looking at her mouth in the mirror repeating "Ash". Then at swim lessons, she told Allison "no-no"!

NEW GAMES

 

It is always interesting trying new games with Ashley because it never goes how you think it will since we let Ashley take the lead. :) We follow her lead and see where it goes!

 

Bowling - she wanted to turn the pins upside down to watch the 3 balls inside.

 

Hot Wheels Racing Track Ramp - she mostly just wanted to flip the ramp up and down.

Mummy Game - (wrap toilet paper around person) she ran around unrolling the paper and then enjoyed throwing in the air. Brogan put some on her head and she admired herself in the mirror!

 

 

Friday

In session this morning, we had fun again with toilet paper and the Fairies enjoyed going down the slide too. Her new Disney Fairy Toys have not left her side since she got them on Wednesday. When I was sitting with her, I was pointing and saying all the Fairy names. The last one was Tinker Bell and then she said "tuh".

At speech therapy, she said "more" and  "no, no, no" when she didn't want the Princess game to end. She also did a close approximation to "Help me" when needing assistance on the game. In OT, she said "more swing" very clearly so that was 2 words!!!
